In the spirit of the 1964 Freedom Schools, established during the Civil Rights Movement, this program will immerse students in history, civic responsibility, social justice, activism, and leadership. The program will focus on empowering students through education, skill-building, and art, fostering a sense of solidarity and justice. This program is designed for students entering 6th-8th grades. Cost: $200. If cost precludes you from participating, AAMI has a limited number of scholarships available.
